Coronation Street is set to be turned into an all-singing, all-dancing stage show, featuring some of the soaps favourite characters.
Among the stars set to reprise their roles are Julie Goodyear, who played landlady Bet Lynch and Kevin Kennedy, who starred as hapless Curly Watts.
Brian Capron will also return as serial killer Richard Hillman, while William Roach will also appear as Ken Barlow.
Paul O’Grady is set to narrate the show, entitled The Street of Dreams, which will see cast members perform songs based on famous scenes from the show’s 51-year history.
O’Grady said of the new venture:
“I’m a great fan of the Street! Chunks of script are engraved in my memory, so to relive it all alongside unforgettable characters and talent is just brilliant.
“I can’t wait to watch it all come together and the reaction it receives.”
Street of Dreams will open at Manchester’s M.E.N Arena on Wednesday 21st March. Tickets go on sale at www.men-arena.com from 9am on 9 December.
