Film Friday: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

As soon as I saw the title for this film, I knew it was going to be good and basically, I was going to bang it on Film Friday for the name alone. But then I thought I better actually watch it to see if the trailer lives up to that name.

Shockingly, Tim Burton seems to be behind this film and hopefully he’s not being serious, because if he is, I think we may have a problem.

The film-with-the-best-movie-title-ever is officially described as follows:

“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of one of the greatest US presidents, and the untold story that shaped a nation.

“Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the bloodthirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.”

Just watch it, you’ll understand. And laugh.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is out in cinemas on 3 August 2012.
