Astala's full name is Astala Dylan Willow Cohen-Geldof
Peaches Geldof has become a mum for the first time, giving birth to a baby boy, Astala.
The one-time television presenter and daughter of Boom Town rocker Bob announced the news via her Twitter page on 21 April, posting:
“Yes, it’s true – I’M A MUMMY!
“My little boy is the most beautiful thing in this world. When he holds @tomfromscum’s finger with his hand its the sweetest thing ever.”
Peaches’ partner and Astala’s dad, Thomas Cohen, also tweeted about the birth, stating:
“I’m a dad he is the most perfect thing ever so proud of his beautiful mum @peaches_g and overcome with joy x.” [sic]
Twenty-three-year-old Peaches previously spoke to Hello! magazine, telling the publication that they had already decided on a name for their unborn child:
“We found Astala in a baby name book – quite an obscure one. This is going to be a very stylish baby.
“I wanted a Jewish name because my fiance is a Jew and the name is the male version of Esther.”
Thomas and Peaches, whose full name is Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof, and announced their engagement in 2011 after just a few months of dating.
A few weeks later, the couple revealed they were expecting their first child together.
