Kristen: I’m sorry, I love him

Kristen owned up to the betrayal in a statement

Kristen Stewart has admitted to cheating on her boyfriend, Twilight star Robert Pattinson.

Reports emerged on 25 July that the actress had been caught on camera with Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, who is married with two children.

Stewart, 22, has now released a statement owning up to the betrayal and apologising for the “hurt and embarrassment” caused by the fling:

“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected.

“This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob.

“I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

Forty-one-year-old Rupert, who is married to model Liberty Ross, followed suit, issuing the following statement:

“I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family.

“My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”

Stewart and Sanders worked together on Snow White and the Huntsman, which hit cinemas last month. Sanders’ wife, Liberty, 33, also starred in the film as Queen Eleanor, Kristen’s character’s mother.
