Elton blasts Madonna over Gaga feud
Elton John has launched a scathing attack on Madonna, announcing that she “looks like a f**king fairground stripper” and stating that her career is “over”.
Sir Elton made the comments when asked about the Queen of Pop’s feud with his good friend – and godmother to his son, Zachary – Lady Gaga.
Speaking on a television show in Australia, the father-of-one said Madge was “such a nightmare”, before saying that she has no right to criticise other artists:
“Sorry, her career is over… Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn’t happen to a bigger c***.
“If [she] had any common sense, she would have made a record like Ray Of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff.
“[She should have] just been a great pop singer and [made] great pop records, which she does brilliantly. But no… she looks like a f**king fairground stripper. She’s been horrible to Gaga.”
Elton is wading into the well-publicised dramas between the two blonde superstars, which emerged following the release of 26-year-old Gaga’s Born This Way track.
Some believed that the Lady Gaga track was similar to Madonna’s Express Yourself, with 53-year-old Madge commenting that it was “a wonderful way to redo my song”.
