Kristen left out of Snow White sequel?
Reports have emerged that the next Snow White and the Huntsman film might not focus on Kristen Stewart’s character as planned, with new writers being hired to change the script.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Stewart could miss out on the role, with Universal bosses now deciding whether to commission a spin-off based around Chris Hemsworth’s Huntsman character.
The Reporter claims that the writer of the original film, David Koepp, has been paid out of his contract to pen the sequel:
“According to sources, as the project is being transformed into something other than the movie that Koepp had been hired to write.
“The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise.”
This news comes just weeks after it emerged that 22-year-old Kristen and married father-of-two Snow White director, Rupert Sanders had a fling.
Sanders, 41, isn’t guaranteed to return to the picture either, with his wife, Liberty Ross, apparently banning the director from working with Kristen again.
Earlier this week, Kristen’s ex and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson gave his first television interview since the split, appearing on The Daily Show in the US.
The actor, who rarely talks about his private life, was understandably cagey about Stewart, dodging questions from host Jon Stewart, who joked that he should “kick her to the curb”.
Stewart has been keeping a low profile since pictures of her and Sanders emerged last month, however she is set to face Pattinson at the upcoming MTV awards, where they are scheduled to present an award together.
Snow White and the Huntsman was released in cinemas in May and took more the £248million at the Box Office.
