Adele will sing the theme for upcoming Bond film, Skyfall, it has been confirmed.
The singer announced the news on 1 October, opting to post a picture of the track’s score via her Twitter account.
A countdown clock on the star’s official website also revealed that the song will premiere in full at 00.07am (UK time) on 5 October.
A short preview of the soundtrack has since emerged online, with the lyrics including:
“Let the sky fall, when it crumbles, we will stand tall, and face it all together.”
Daniel Craig will return as 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd Bond film, set for release on 26 October. In his third outing as the super spy, Daniel will be joined by Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Berenice Marlohe, Naomie Harris and Judi Dench, who reprises her role as M.
The track, Skyfall, has been written by Adele and producer Paul Epworth and is available to pre-order from iTunes now. The song will be available for download from 5 October.
