5×50

I’m all done, son – I completed my 5×50 Challenge on 28th October, after 50 days in a row of running, swimming or cycling 5k, and raising £182 for NWCRF.

Right. So. I’ve signed up to the 5×50 Challenge this year which starts in September and basically consists of me doing 5K a day of running, swimming or cycling. For 50 days.

I knowwwww it’s not a marathon or some kind of other generic Olympic activity, but every little helps and I’ll probably be wearing an old Team GB item of clothing, so it kind of counts.

If you know me, then you’ll know I’m a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to ‘exercise’. There’s always ‘that thing I want to watch on 4od ’cause it’s only got one day left’ or well, let’s be honest, ANYTHING ELSE to distract me.

Howevs, I’ve signed up for this now so I have to do it, which is the best motivation. And it’ll be really tight on North West Cancer Research Fund if I don’t do it now.

So if you can spare a pound or two, I’d love for you to sponsor me . Can’t find the cash? Lies, everyone’s got a rogue PayPal account with abarrr a fiver in it, so stop being all skinflint-y about it. Or you can post me some change. Either or.

In exchange, you can keep a weather eye on my Twitter for updates/moaning/joyful acceptance-based tweets around ze challenge if you wish or if you’d like to stalk me in person, just hang around Park Pool, weekdays at 7am and look out for a 25 year old who can’t remember which locker all her stuff’s in.
