Harvey 'clarifies' his comments
Rapper MC Harvey has back-tracked over comments he made that he had a relationship with Cheryl Cole.
The one-time So Solid Crew star told Now magazine last week that “there was a relationship and attraction to each other’s aura”; leading to heated Twitter exchange between the two.
However, he has now ‘clarified’ his comments, telling Choice FM:
“I’ve never been with her, I’ve never claimed to have had a relationship with her, but the communication is not a lie.
“If I’d done that, I’d be lying to myself and lying to my family. If I’m saying, ‘Was there communication with us?’ Yes – for a good five months.”
Harvey’s interview with the station comes just days after it was revealed that 28-year-old Cole was planning to take legal action against the rapper.
When the original article hit newsstands, Cheryl responded to Harvey’s claims through Twitter, posting:
“Was this ‘relationship’ happening in your head @harveyofficial?! Are you smoking something?
“I think I’ve met you once maybe twice at public events and With your wife !! #s**tjustgetsweirder”
Harvey later claimed he had emails which proved there was something going on with the Girls Aloud singer.
