New pop princess on the proverbial block, Rita Ora, has released the video for her latest single.
The follow up to Number 1 track R.I.P., How We Do (Party) is “an infectious pop-rock party anthem paired with her stunning vocals”, according to the accompanying PR, and is “is sure to be an essential on every playlist this summer”.
It sounds to me like watered-down, less fun Katy Perry, but by all means, see what you think.
You can download How We Do (Party) from 12 August 2012.
The end for Russell and Katy
Russell Brand has announced that he is to divorce his wife, US singer Katy Perry, after 14 months of marriage.
According to reports, the comedian filed divorce papers in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.
In a statement the 36-year-old said:
“Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”
This news comes after months of press speculation that the couple were having marriage trouble.
The pair spent Christmas day apart, with Brand spotted in Cornwall while his wife spent the holidays in Hawaii – without her wedding ring.
Perry and Brand got together in 2008 and married in October 2010 at a resort inside a tiger reserve in India.
Jessie replaced by Ellie Goulding
Singer Jessie J is apparently “in tears” following news that she has been replaced by Ellie Goulding as Katy Perry’s support act on her California Dreams tour.
The Price Tag star was scheduled to open for Perry over in the US this November, but was forced to pull out to give her broken foot more time to heal.
Jessie took to her Twitter page to break the news, posting:
“Having a cry about having to pull out of the Katy Perry tour.
“I am as upset as my #heartbeats (fans) believe me. My foot is just not healing as well as I hoped.”
Doctors have previously told he 23-year-old to cut down her busy schedule to allow her foot to heal properly.
Ellie Goulding, who performed at the Royal wedding back in April, has already been confirmed to replace Jessie, playing five shows in Hartford, Las Vegas, New York, Oakland and Los Angeles.
Perry responded to the news and sent her best wishes to Jessie via her Twitter profile, tweeting:
“Please welcome @elliegoulding to the #CaliforniaDreamsTour this November! @jessiejofficial hope you feel better soon!”
Katy will start the UK leg of her popular tour in Sheffield on 12 October.
