Bieber skirts around Selena question
Justin Bieber has spoken for the first time about his alleged split from girlfriend of two years, Disney star Selena Gomez.
During a radio interview on 10 November, the Beauty and the Beat singer was asked about the supposed break-up and skirted around the question, commenting:
“I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what’s going on in my life… To even assess that it doesn’t make sense ’cause I have not made any comment.”
Selena, 20, has kept a low profile since their alleged split, however 18-year-old Justin has already been linked to Victoria’s Secret model Barbara Palvin, after they were spotted backstage at this year’s show.
Palvin and Bieber also attended a showing of The Lion King on Broadway on 8 November, the night after the Victoria’s Secret catwalk. Selena then tweeted a photograph of Justin with Palvin in the background, alongside the caption:
Palvin has since dismissed any relationship rumours, posting on her Twitter account:
“Last time I’m saying it. please calm down.there is nothing going on w him.i met him and did a pic w him. wouldn’t u do the same?:) #friendship.” [sic]
Reports emerged earlier this month that Bieber and Gomez had gone their separate ways, with an ‘insider’ telling US Weekly on 9 November:
“Selena broke up with Justin about a week ago. It’s been a really challenging experience over the last year because of their crazy schedules… Selena definitely had some major trust issues with Justin.”
Justin and Selena first went public with their relationship in February 2011 at the Vanity Fair Oscars party.
Bieber allegedly ‘roughed up’ a photographer
Justin Bieber is wanted for questioning after allegedly ‘roughing up’ a photographer over the weekend.
The singer was leaving a cinema in LA with his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, when the couple were surrounded by photographers.
The alleged ‘scuffle’ happened when a photographer tried to take pictures of the 18-year-old teen star and Gomez.
Justin lost his hat and his shoe during the incident.
Sheriff Lt. Robert Wiard told the Daily Mail that the photographer involved called 911 on 27 May and complained of pain to his chest.
He also said that the paparazzo was taken to hospital where he was treated and then released.
Both Bieber and Gomez, 19, fled the scene before the authorities arrived and now investigators want to talk to the pair for their side of the story.
A source reportedly told Gossip Centre:
“Los Angeles County paramedics arrived at the Calabasas Commons with the Fire Department and Police arriving moments later following Justin’s altercation with a paparazzo.
“Justin’s bodyguard [also] arrived while the photographer received medical attention for an apparent strike to the face.”
Entertainment website TMZ reports that the photographer filed a police report, and alleges that the police are investigating the incident as misdemeanour criminal battery.

Selena’s Facebook account was hacked
A British man who hacked into Disney star Selena Gomez’s personal Facebook account has been jailed for 12 months.
Twenty-one-year-old Gareth Crosskey managed to gain access to the page by posing as the 19-year-old singer’s step-dad, who has admin rights to the account.
He then convinced Facebook to reset the passwords on the account and proceeded to contact a number of magazines offering them her private information.
Crosskey, a McDonalds worker from West Sussex, also wrote to Selena’s step- father, saying that he had made copies of emails sent between her and Justin Bieber, before their relationship was made public:
“Her personal email shows what her fans might want to see. I’ve made a copy of every email between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez and Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.
“I think the paparazzi will have a field day.”
Judge John Price sentenced Crosskey to 12 months in prison after he admitted to two offenses against the Computer Misuse Act, telling him:
“You are clever with a computer and you hacked into the private part of somebody’s Facebook account.
“People deserve privacy and should not their private correspondence by email made public.”
Crosskey was traced following a reported £50,000 joint investigation involving the FBI and the UK’s E-Crime Unit.
He claimed he hacked into the star’s account to highlight the security loopholes present on Facebook.

Selena received death threats
Selena Gomez’s alleged stalker has begged the judge to grant the star a permanent restraining order.
Thomas Brodnicki, who says he has daily “conversations with God” about killing the 19-year-old Disney actress, told the judge:
“I believe that a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena Gomez.
“I do not wish to object to the restraining order against me because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena.”
Last month, Gomez received an extension to the original restraining order against Brodnicki, 46, after getting death threats from him.
However, a stalking charge was dismissed after the judge ruled that there wasn’t enough evidence to prove Brodnicki intended to cause Selena any distress or fear.
The temporary order requires Brodnicki to stay 100 yards away from the Wizards of Waverly Place star.
Brodnicki, who has a history of mental illness, is being held in a psychiatric facility until the next court hearing on 6 January 2012.
Four gongs for Gaga
Lady Gaga has walked away with four prizes at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards.
The 25-year-old singer scooped the award for Best Female, as well as Best Song and Best Video for her hit Born This Way and Best Fans.
Gaga accepted her Best Song award from Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere and said:
“I knew that this song was very special when I wrote it… I just didn’t know how special it would be.
“I love you Little Monsters, until the end!”
Teen star Justin Bieber and US singer Bruno Mars were the other big winners on the night, each winning two gongs each.
Queen received a Global Icon award, with band members Brian May and Roger Taylor collecting the honour.
There were live performances on the night from Coldplay, Jessie J, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Selena Gomez – who also hosted the show.
Essex-born Jessie also lead an emotional tribute to the late Amy Winehouse, who was found dead at her home back in July.
“I never got to thank Amy for breaking boundaries as I truly believe without her I wouldn’t be standing here today.
“She set a new standard for British female artists.”
MTV EMAs took place at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on 6 November.
Star of Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica-Parker has spoken out about reports that there was to be a new series of the popular television show.
The programmes producer, Darren Star, revealed this week that he was keen to get the show back on the small screen.
A source reportedly told the Mail on Sunday that “everyone is agreed a TV show is the direction they want to take the franchise in.
“Sarah Jessica Parker will be producing. She was worried about doing another film after the bad reaction to the Sex and the City 2 movie, but a TV show is definitely something she wants to happen.”
However, Jessica-Parker has other ideas, with her spokesperson telling Access Hollywood that rumours she was on-board were “completely false.”
Plans for a Sex and the City prequel have been put on hold for the moment too.
Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, Emma Roberts and Ashley Olsen have all been linked to the project, which is still in the pipeline.
Sarah Jessica-Parker has previously insisted that a third Sex and the City film could find box office success, despite the second film being widely panned by critics.
The actress previously told the Los Angeles Times:
“I would go back. I think there’s one more story to tell. I know there is.”
Bieber at the Beckhams'
She may only be a few weeks old, but Harper Seven is set to be serenaded by teen pop sensation Justin Bieber at her home in Los Angeles – whether she likes it or not.
Harper and her brothers Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz will be treated to a private performance from the Baby singer, who may also show up with his girlfriend, Disney star Selena Gomez.
However, it’s not a one way street; Justin wants something in return from proud father David.
The Bieber went on to explain:
“I’ve agreed to give the boys a concert at their house – if David Beckham gives me some private soccer lessons.
“David’s an amazing dad and he told me how happy it would make the boys, so I had to say yes.
“Maybe now they have a girl, Selena will have to come too and dedicate a song to Harper.
“David tells me my records are always played in their house and David and Victoria are both really cool, so I’m happy to oblige.”
Victoria gave birth to the couple’s first daughter on 10 July at a small hospital in LA.
David recently revealed that the name Harper was inspired by Victoria’s favourite book, To Kill a Mockingbird, which was written by Harper Lee.
