Olympics set list leaked

Brand, Take That and The Who to perform

A list detailing the artists set to appear at the London Olympics closing ceremony has been leaked, according to reports.

Big names featured in the document include The Who, Take That and George Michael, reports the Daily Mail.

Queen and Jessie J, Ed Sheeran, Ray Davies and Russell Brand are also among the stars alleged to be performing at the two-hour-long event, which will take place on 12 August.

Rather than going through a stand-up routine, Brand is instead expected to cover The Beatles’ track I Am The Walrus and join up with comediennes Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French for a version of the Sex Pistol’s Pretty Vacant.

There will also be a line-up of models – led by Kate Moss – to showcase the best of British fashion.

A spokes person for Locog, the London 2012 organising committee told the publication:

“We won’t comment, we want the line-up to be a surprise.”

Tickets for the event are still available, with prices ranging from £655 to £1,500.

Catherine Tate dating Jason Orange?

Tate and Orange said to be dating

Comedian Catherine Tate and Take That’s Jason Orange have been enjoying a ‘secret romance’ over the past few months, according to reports.

The pair are said to have met when Catherine took part in a Take That spoof for Comic Relief.

The Sun is reporting that the couple have gone on a “number of dates”, with a source telling the newspaper:

“They were trying to keep things secret but looked very loved up and happy together.

“It’s a very unlikely pairing but they have really hit it off. They’ve been on a number of dates to the theatre and the cinema.

“They really enjoy each other’s company. Catherine deserves someone nice and she has landed on her feet with Jason.

“But they have both been desperate to keep their romance secret.”

Catherine, 43, is best-known for her comedy character Lauren Cooper, famous for her catchphrase “Am I Bovvered?”

She also recently starred in a theatre production of Much Ado About Nothing, alongside Doctor Who’s David Tennant.

Forty-one-year-old Jason hit the big time in the early 90s with five-piece boyband Take That.

The band’s recent comeback was massively successful, setting the record for the fastest selling tour of all time in the UK and the fastest selling album of the 21st Century.
