Rochelle to become a mum for the first time

Saturdays’ singer Rochelle Humes is expecting her first child with husband Marvin, it has been announced.

The 22-year-old star chose to share her happy news via Twitter, posting:

“I wanted to be the first to tell you…we have some exciting news to share! Marvin and I could NOT be more thrilled to announce that we are expecting our first child mid next year.

“We have always dreamt of being parents and the news is the best early Christmas present we could have asked for. I know Marvin is going to be a great dad and we’re so excited to start a family.”

A number of celebrities Tweeted their congratulations to the couple following the announcement, with Cheryl Cole writing:

“Congratulations @rochellethesats @jlsofficial! I’m SO happy for you. So cute”

And Alexandra Burke sending her well wishes:

“Congrats to Marvin and Roch soooo happy for the beautiful couple !!” [sic]

Fellow Saturday Mollie King even joked that Baby Humes and bandmate Una Healy’s daughter, Aoife Belle, could form a band of their own:

“Couldn’t be more excited and thrilled for @RochelleTheSats & Marvin!!! Ahhh can’t believe this!! Who else feels The Sats Juniors forming?”

The news comes just four months after JLS star Marvin and Rochelle wed at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.

Two weeks after the ceremony, Rochelle jetted off to Los Angeles with her Saturdays bandmates to start filming for their up-coming reality show, Chasing The Saturdays.

The show is set to air on E! in at the beginning of next year.

Una weds rugby star

Saturdays’ singer Una Healy has married England rugby star Ben Foden in a ceremony in Ireland.

The pair tied the knot on Saturday 30 June, with Una’s bandmates, Mollie King, Vanessa White, Frankie Sandford and Rochelle Wiseman, as bridesmaids.

The girls were seen in lilac gowns, however 30-year-old new mum Una shielded her dress due to an up-coming magazine deal.

Following the ceremony, guests took to Twitter to send their best wishes, with Mollie posting:

“Had THE most incredible day! What a beautiful bride @UnaTheSats made, or Mrs Foden should I say ;-) . Loving my new brother in law @ben_foden.”

Fellow Saturday Rochelle, who is set to marry her beau, JLS singer Marvin Humes, followed suit, tweeting:

“Never been so proud of anyone! My @UnaTheSats was THE most beautiful bride, very emotional, @ben_foden wins best speech! Love you both xx.”

Ben and Una got together in 2008, after being introduced via their agents.

They announced they were expecting their first child back in October, with Foden proposing a few months later.

Star line-up for sport talent show

Una will appear on the celebrity panel

The Saturdays’ star Una Healy and former Eastenders actress Martine McCutcheon are among the star names confirmed to appear on the judging panel for new sports talent show, Let’s Get Gold.

The girls will join sport pros Rio Ferdinand and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff’ on the ITV1 show, which will give talented sports amateurs and professionals the chance to showcase their abilities.

ITV bosses are expecting everything from football to cheer-leading, as talented sports stars compete to win acclaim from the panel, as well as £100,000 in prize money.

New mum Una, who is engaged to rugby star Ben Foden, said of her new venture:

“I’m so excited to be part of Let’s Get Gold.  I’m looking forward to seeing all the sporting talent that Britain has to offer.

“It’ll be fun to see how these teams will put an entertainment spin on sports such as Rugby and Golf. I can’t wait to get started!”

Fellow judge and Manchester United star Rio – who will have a little extra time on his hands after missing out on this year’s Euros – added:

“It’s set to be a fantastic show, capturing the nation’s sporting mood perfectly.

“I am very excited to be working with Freddie, Martine and Una in the search for new sporting stars. May the best team win!”

The series, made up of three pre-recorded episodes, will air in early July.

Baby girl for Saturdays’ Una

Una welcomes baby girl

Saturdays star Una Healy has given birth to a baby girl, according to reports.

It is the singer’s first child with her rugby player fiancé, Ben Foden.

News first broke on 13 March via Twitter that the 30-year-old had given birth, with Foden and three of Healy’s bandmates posting congratulations.

New dad Ben lead the tweets by saying:

“I am officially a Dad!!!!!! Una an baby are both amazing and healthy!!!! So proud of them both! #babybenuna” [sic].

Rochelle Wiseman, who is currently engaged to JLS star Marvin Humes, followed suit, writing:

“A beautiful girl has entered the world today and, I’m her aunty #blessed I’m so proud of @unahealy@ben_foden BIG love! Xx”

Fellow girl group member Mollie was next to offer her well wishes, posting:

“Congratulations to my beautiful @unahealy and @ben_foden! I couldn’t be more proud! What gorgeous parents u will make! I want to seeee her!”

Vanessa White also mentioned the pair on her Twitter profile, while Frankie Sandford opted to Tweet Foden directly, reminding him not to “forget Una on mothers day sunday” [sic].

Una and Ben have been dating since 2008, when they were introduced by each other’s agents.

Saturdays’ Frankie checks into rehab

Frankie has been 'noticeably absent'

Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford has checked herself into rehab, according to reports.

A spokesperson for the band confirmed the news today and also explained that she is not seeking treatment for issues to do with alcohol, drugs or cosmetic surgery.

The 22-year-old has been noticeably absent from the band’s recent promotional duties, fuelling speculation of a split.

However, the rest of the girls have tried to quash these rumours, with Rochelle Wiseman telling Digital Spy:

“No, we’re not splitting. [Frankie's] not very well and you can’t even have a flu or a runny nose before people start saying you’ve left.”

Una, who’s expecting her first child with rugby player beau Ben Foden, added:

“In any other job if somebody had a few days when they were sick, nobody would say they’ve left.

“What are you supposed to do? You can’t come to work if you’re ill.”

Frankie did, however, take to Twitter over the weekend in an attempt to explain her absence, posting:

“Sorry I haven’t tweeted in a while. I’ve not been very well. Miss u @MollieTheSats @unahealy @vanessawhite @RochelleTheSats I’ll b back soon x”

The Saturdays new album On Your Radar is set for release on 21 November.

The Saturdays tease new video

Girlband The Saturdays have released a sneak preview of the video for their new single, My Heart Takes Over.

The girls braved the chill in Iceland to shoot the video, which is expected to premiere in full this week.

The Saturdays reveal album artwork

Girl group The Saturdays have released the artwork for their upcoming album, On Your Radar.

As well as the album cover, the girls have also announced that there will be individual group member sleeves when you order from HMV, so die-hard Sats fans can get the album with their favourite girl on the front cover.

Frankie, Una, Mollie, Rochell and Vanessa have worked with an all-star cast of producers on the new record, including Space Cowboy, Steve Mac , David Eriksen and Brian Higgins – plus Gym Class Hero’s Travie McCoy.

On Your Radar hits shops on 21 November 2011.

The Saturdays deny split rumours

The girls put and end to rumours

Girlband The Saturdays have denied split rumours, after reports emerged that they were to take a ‘two year break’.

The girls took to Twitter to dismiss the claims directly, with Una Healy, who recently announced that she is expecting her first child with rugby player boyfriend Ben Foden, posting:

“Why do people start silly rumours? We are definitely not going on a break. We have loads of things planned for 2012 – baby on board too.

“I normally wouldn’t rise to rumours but it’s not fair on our fans to read and believe the lies. Trust me, Team Sats, we ain’t going nowhere!”

Her bandmates Rochelle Wiseman and Frankie Sandford also posted comments in an attempt to clear things up, with Sandford writing:

“2 year break my a**e! If only you guys could see our schedule! 2 days off is a struggle! Lol.

“Let’s not make the excitement of the benuna baby all doom and gloom!”

Wiseman added:

“Just heard some v strange rumours that we are having a 2 year break… oh pah lease!!

“Not true in any way shape or form… We are busier now than we have ever ever been and that’s how we like it! So just thought I’d squash any split rumours.”

The Saturdays are currently in Iceland filming the video for their new single, My Heart Takes Over.
